Piles: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment

Haemorrhoids that have swollen up are called piles, and they develop inside, around, and along the anal canal. In the anal canal, haemorrhoids are collections of tissue that are cushioned by blood vessels, support tissue, muscle, and elastic fibers.

Haemorrhoids affect everybody. However, piles form when the haemorrhoids securing the anal route swell excessively as a result of inflammation, causing the vein walls to weaken, stretch, and get irritated by bowel movement passage.

Most of the time, piles disappear on their own.

Pile types can be broadly divided into two groups:

  1. Internal piles

Internal Piles are hidden deep within the rectum and are neither visible nor palpable. Typically, bleeding is the only symptom. There are four grades of internal piles

   2. External piles

Under the skin, around the anus, there are a lot of pain-sensing nerves that are called external piles. As a result, they bleed and pain.

What are the causes of piles?

Pile-related issues are primarily brought by:

MEDICAL TREATMENT.

In cases where the symptoms are severe, piles may necessitate treatment or even surgery.

Internal and exterior piles are treated differently.

Internal hemorrhoids in grades one and two are typically treated with medication and a planned diet of fibrous, non-spicy foods. The doctors might also recommend a topical treatment in some circumstances.

Internal hemorrhoids in grade three can also be treated with medication and a diet change, but if the symptoms are severe, surgery may be necessary. Internal piles in grade four necessitate quick surgical intervention, especially if gangrenous tissue is discovered.

Your doctor can advise hemorrhoid treatments or ice packs to treat external piles and minimize swelling. If the condition is very serious, the doctor might advise surgery, which might involve:

elimination of hemorrhoids

burning piles-affected tissue with an infrared photo, a laser, or electrical coagulation

Sclerotherapy is used to get rid of the piles-causing varicose veins.
